Professional Organisation of Shiatsu Therapy Practitioners of Romania

In Romania, Shiatsu therapy is regulated and accredited by the Romanian Shiatsu Association, the professional organisation of Shiatsu therapy practitioners in Romania, whose main activity is the organisation, control and supervision of the practice of Shiatsu practitioner, the training of Shiatsu practitioners and the promotion of Shiatsu therapy in Romania.

Education and training programs of the official Shiatsu therapy are organised and taught within the professional organisation Romanian Shiatsu Association.

The teachers from the Romanian Shiatsu Association are experienced therapists certified and accredited by Namikoshi Shiatsu Europe and Japan Shiatsu College in Tōkyō. Certification by the professional organisation Romanian Association of Shiatsu means the guarantee of quality, excellence and professionalism.

Shiatsu therapy was created and developed in Japan by the Japanese master Tokujiro Namikoshi [1905-2000] and is based on modern medical studies such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, etc.

In Japan, Shiatsu is regulated being integrated into the public health system and is officially studying at the Japan Shiatsu College in Tōkyō, an educational institution recognized by the Ministries of Education, Health and Labor. Internationally, Shiatsu therapy is recognized by the World Health Organisation and the European Union.
